Past and current multimedia projects I have taken part in.
- Nartherael.com
- Austraflora
- Cellar Skylight
- Hearing Things
Nartherael.com and .com.au
- Product: Website Design
- Subject: This network of sites has fictional, commercial and fun community aspects.
- Tasks: Building the interface, HTML and CSS coding, uploading and testing.
- Location: The new design is currently in testing phase. We're testing for overall look and browser compatibility.
There are actually a few interesting sectors of Nartherael – First we have Dane's fictional sides: This area provides information and gorgeous 3D pictures based around his fictional mythos. You'll also find information about his short stories, and the Asian ball-jointed dolls based on his characters. Nartherael's forum is filled with activities such as arcade game challenges and role playing. There is also an open wiki where visitors can contribute and talk about their own information (such as your own fiction) without fear of rejection from Wikipedia!
Austraflora
- Product: Interactive CDROM
- Subject: A catalogue of plant products provided by the nursery.
- Tasks: Building the interface, ActionScript for navigation, adding photos and text, creating catalogues, testing and debugging.
Austraflora are a plant nursery based in Yarra Glen, Victoria, Australia. They provide unique, native Australian plants for landscape design. My partner Dane and I have been assigned to develop a CDROM version of their website catalogue.
Cellar Skylight
- Product: Website layout and image gallery
- Subject: The online art portfolio of Katy Farina.
- Tasks: Building the interface, HTML coding, installation of "Galleristic" gallery software, adapting gallery's style to match website.
- Location: Cellar Skylight
Katy is a talented artist in both traditional and digital mediums. She has chosen to display her creations in a portfolio website, and assigned me the job of designing the layout, and installing Galleristic to display her pictures. I have also adapted Galleristic to match the rest of the site.
Hearing Things
- Product: Flash interactive experiment
- Subject: A mini Flash "world" with random clickable and sound-activated interactions.
- Tasks: Interface, ActionScript, illustration, animation, testing and debugging
This was an experimental project to create an interactive "world" where different animations would activate depending on the amount of sound recieved through a microphone. I particularly enjoyed creating simple animations and interactions.
